Classes designed to help participants understand their computer

Do you ever feel frustrated with your computer? UW-Fond du Lac is offering a series of three computer classes designed to help you understand your computer on Mondays, 6-8 p.m., beginning Mar. 3. Early registration is recommended due to limited computer lab space.

The first class is Introduction to Microsoft Windows on Mar. 3 and 10. Windows is the basic operating system or the environment in which all other programs operate on the personal computer. Understanding this operating system will help participants navigate and organize information, as well as keep their computer safe.

Introduction to Microsoft Word on Mar. 17 and 24 will cover editing and formatting text documents. This class offers help for those that have struggled with some of Word’s features and will improve productivity.

Introduction to Microsoft Excel on Mar. 31 and Apr. 7 will focus on spreadsheets that perform calculations and produce reports. Students will be introduced to features in Excel that improve efficiency and summarize data.

Each course is $54 ($49 if you register online) and includes course manual and a quick reference card. All courses are taught at UW-Fond du Lac.
