2014 award presented to Allen Buechel

UW-Fond du Lac Dean John Short (left) presented the 2014 Spirit of Excellence Award to Fond du Lac County Executive Allen Buechel at the Corks and Forks event held at the university on March 20.

This award honors individuals who have made exceptional commitment of support to UW-Fond du Lac. He was recognized for his continued leadership and support of UW-Fond du Lac and education in the community. The Corks and Forks event was attended by 175 guests and featured a four-course Greek dinner in the University Center Commons. Proceeds from the event will benefit student scholarships and the UW-Fond du Lac Foundation.

Previous recipients of the Spirit of Excellence Award are founding campus Dean Bill Henken; Harold and Charmaine LaShay; and Judith Berger O’Brien.
