Rick Parks (left), president and CEO of Society Insurance, was recently presented with the UW-Fond du Lac Foundation’s Spirit of Excellence Award for 2017 by Martin Rudd (right) UW Colleges regional executive officer and dean.

Presented at the annual UW-Fond du Lac Corks & Forks fundraiser, the award recognizes people who have provided noteworthy support to the university and its foundation.

“Rick’s exceptional commitment is evident in his personal and professional support of education,” said Rhonda Stucky, executive director of the UW-Fond du Lac Foundation.

Stucky cited Parks’ role in providing the Society Insurance Charitable Scholarship, his encouragement of company employees to serve as active community board members and his personal service for organizations including American Red Cross, Fond du Lac Area Women’s Fund, Fond du Lac Area Association of Commerce and Rotary.
