UW-Fond du Lac Dean John Short (right) recently presented the university’s 2012 Distinguished Alumni Award to City of Fond du Lac Police Chief William (Bill) Lamb.

Born and raised in Fond du Lac, Lamb attended UW-Fond du Lac from 1986 through 1988. He was honored at the UW-Fond du Lac Foundation’s annual donor and scholarship reception held on Oct. 3 in the University Center Commons. This is the ninth year the award has been presented.
