The University of Wisconsin Colleges, the parent organization of UW-Fond du Lac, has received continuing accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission (HLC).

The HLC is an independent organization which accredits degree-granting post-secondary educational institutions in the North Central region. The accreditation process assures students that the institution meets generally accepted standards. The HLC assesses all member colleges and universities on a regular basis.

John Short, UW-Fond du Lac dean and CEO, said the continuing accreditation came after a rigorous examination and is a “strong endorsement of the quality of a UW-Fond du Lac education.” HLC evaluators visited UW-Fond du Lac in November 2012, and met with faculty, staff, students, administrators and other stakeholders.
