Two students from the University of Wisconsin-Fond du Lac recently presented the results of their research study at the 9th annual Posters in the Rotunda event on March 7 in Madison.

UW-Fond du Lac student Megan Wetherbee, Fond du Lac, and recent UW-Fond du Lac graduate Gregory Wilke, Campbellsport, are shown with UW Colleges and UW-Extension Chancellor Ray Cross in front of their research poster at the Capitol.

The students are part of an ongoing research study on the effects of Garlic Mustard being done by David Demezas, Ph.D., biological sciences professor at UW-Fond du Lac.

Garlic mustard is an invasive species in Wisconsin and the results of the student research determined that there is a chemical released by the Garlic Mustard roots which negatively impacts other plants.
