New Mascot Will Support University’s Athletic Teams

The University of Wisconsin-Fond du Lac announces the arrival of a new Falcon mascot to support its athletic programming.

The Falcon will spread its wings and cheer on the UW-Fond du Lac soccer, basketball, baseball, volleyball and golf teams. The Falcon will also make special appearances at university events and represent UW-Fond du Lac at community events.

“The Falcon is a welcome and long awaited addition to our athletic program,” said Lee Watson, UW-Fond du Lac athletic director and health, exercise and science professor. “Having the mascot at games really adds to the excitement and school spirit.”

The UW-Fond du Lac Student Activities Committee is welcoming the Falcon to campus with a birthday party at noon on Thursday, Apr. 5, in the University Center Commons. There will be “bird songs” to dance to, falcon tattoos, balloons and a birthday cake.
