UWFox graduates will be awarded the Associate of Arts and Science Degree during spring Commencement at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 23, in the Fieldhouse, 1478 Midway Road, Menasha.Michael Grebe

Graduates who completed one of the collaborative degree programs offered at UWFox in partnership with four-year UW campuses will also be awarded their bachelor’s degree during the ceremony.

Michael Grebe, J.D., UW Board of Regents, will give the commencement address. Grebe is the chief legal officer for Aurora Health Care, the largest integrated health care system in Wisconsin. Prior to joining Aurora, Grebe served as executive vice president and general counsel for HUSCO International, Inc. and executive committee member at Quarles & Brady. A Wisconsin native, Grebe graduated from Dartmouth College and earned his law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School.

Tyler Rasmussen, of Appleton, will be recognized as the UWFox 2016-17 student of the year during the ceremony. On campus, Rasmussen is president of the American Chemical Society (ACS) UW Fox-Valley Chapter, a member of the Biology Club and a peer tutor.

During the summer of 2017, he will be conducting research for NASA’s Wisconsin Space Grant Consortium in the Elijah High-Altitude Balloon Project.  Rasmussen hopes to transfer to UW-Madison’s College of Engineering to major in material science and engineering. He attended Hortonville High School and was selected for this honor by the Scholarship & Academic Actions Committee at UWFox.Tyler Rasmussen

As part of the ceremony, UW-Platteville will award a record number of bachelor’s degrees in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering this year. More than 100 engineers have earned their degree through this collaborative degree program at the UWFox campus since the program’s inception in 2002. Graduates from this program will also be inducted into the Order of the Engineer during a special ceremony prior to Commencement.

UW-Oshkosh will award a bachelor’s degree in human services leadership at Commencement. This collaborative degree program began on the UWFox campus in 2013.

A reception for graduates and their families will be held in the Communication Arts Center following the ceremony.
