A lot has happened at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh during the past year. The men’s basketball team went toe to toe with Nebraska Wesleyan University at the NCAA Division III Championship in Salem, Virginia; the Higher Learning Commission approved the joining of UW Oshkosh, UW-Fond du Lac and UW-Fox Valley; the Rec Plex seasonal dome was erected for students to take part in intramural sports year-round; and many more significant milestones were reached in between. Looking back, 2018 was a great year to be a Titan!

Bailey Smaney, of Howard, pitched a win against UW-La Crosse for a second-place finish in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference last spring.

Three campuses, one University

UW Oshkosh, UW-Fox Valley and UW-Fond du Lac kicked off this academic year together to become a new and stronger institution for the region.

The men’s track and field team kicked off a great start to the 2018-2019 season winning its own Early Bird Invitational at Kolf Sports Center.

This year the University Police welcomed Skylar, a 2-year-old black lab, to the team to sniff out explosives, track individuals and find evidence at crime scenes.

Area police departments and community members lit up UWO’s campus during the 2018 Run with the Cops event benefitting Special Olympics Wisconsin.

Adam Fravert helped the Titans men’s basketball team earn a big victory in the 2018-2019 season home opener against North Park University.

A seasonal dome was inflated for the the first time at the 4.35-acre, intramural sports Rec Plex, allowing students to enjoy recreational sports on campus during frigid winter months.

Alma Enciso, a dual-major physics and engineering technology student, measures the charge-to-mass ratio of an electron.

A moment in the sun

UW Oshkosh graduated more than 900 students at midyear commencement in December.

50 years and counting

UW-Fond du Lac celebrated its 50th anniversary in November with alumni, friends, faculty, staff and a groovy vintage car to boot. #UWFDL50

For the fourth year in a row, students were entertained at the UWO Drag Show with performers like Vivian Storm, Taylor and Certified Sexy Burlesque.
