The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh will open its doors to hundreds of guests Feb. 28-March 3 to host the 40th-annual Oshkosh Placement Exchange (OPE).

OPE is a national, higher education job placement exchange hosted by the Department of Residence Life and Gruenhagen Conference Center at UW Oshkosh. Guests are expected from more than 30 states, which includes participation from more than 120 universities and residential boarding schools that are registered as employers, many of which bring interview teams.

The OPE is a job-placement event drawing hundreds of candidates from around the country for student affairs positions. University employers set up at Gruenhagen for what has become one of the largest higher education job placement exchanges in the nation.

Marc Nylen welcomes guests to Gruenhagen Conference Center on the UWO campus.

“Each and every year we celebrate the arrival of the hundreds of guests who come to our campus, and place their trust in us to manage and execute the highest-quality placement exchange possible. We have been privileged to offer an excellent venue for candidates and employers to find the best possible match,” said Gruenhagen Conference Center Director Marc Nylen.

“We are honored to host this distinguished event each and every year.”

This year, to commemorate the 40th anniversary of OPE, an anniversary social will be held from 7 until 10 p.m. March 2 at the Oshkosh Convention Center, 1 N. Main St., Oshkosh.

Next year’s OPE event will be held on the UW Oshkosh campus from Feb. 27-March 1, 2020.
