The University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley, a UW Oshkosh campus, will hold its annual spring commencement ceremony at 7 p.m. on Monday, May 20, in the Fieldhouse, 1478 Midway Road, Menasha.

Graduates from UW-Fox Valley will be awarded associate degrees in arts and science. Bachelor’s degrees will also be awarded to several students who completed collaborative bachelor degree programs at UW-Fox Valley. UW Oshkosh will award a bachelor’s degree in human services leadership and UW-Platteville will award bachelor’s degrees in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering.

Keri Olson, author and three-time cancer survivor, will give the commencement address. Olson has dedicated much of her career to the nonprofit sector as an executive and as a public relations specialist. She is the author of three books and an advocate for the two year campuses like UW-Fox Valley. She is an alumna of UW-Baraboo/Sauk County (now UW-Platteville Baraboo Sauk County) campus and earned a bachelor’s degree in speech communications from UW-Whitewater.

Eric McDaniel, a computer science major from Appleton, is the UW-Fox Valley 2019 student of the year and will be recognized during the ceremony. On campus, McDaniel has served as president of the FoxBytes Computer Science Club and is a member of the UW-Fox Valley Rocketeers and UW-Fox Valley Engineering Society. He has participated in undergraduate research while a student at UW-Fox Valley, recently presenting his findings at statewide research symposiums.

A reception for graduates and their families will be held in the Communication Arts Center following the ceremony.

UW-Fox Valley joined with UW Oshkosh and UW-Fond du Lac in July 2018 as part of a UW System restructuring. UW Oshkosh Chancellor Andrew Leavitt will be conferring degrees to the graduating students.
