This summer’s alumni events are sure to spark excitement for those looking to celebrate their Titan pride – even if they no longer live near campus.

“Due to the popularity of our annual summer events, we are pleased to offer them again and expect increased attendance,” Alumni Director Christine Gantner said. “We are hosting events in southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois since we recruit students from this area and a significant number of our graduates reside in the region. We look forward to engaging them and celebrating our Titan pride.”

A fitting addition to this summer’s theme of bringing alumni together in celebration of their alma mater is the UWO Alumni Reception taking place on July 9 at the Evergreen Retirement Community in Oshkosh. Gantner said this partnership is significant for UWO because many of the residents, volunteers and staff are alumni, retired faculty/staff or have other ties to the university.

Additional 2019 summer events include:

  • July 31, 5:30-9 p.m., Neuroscience Group Field, Appleton; UWO Alumni Night at Timber Rattlers, pregame picnic ($24 for adults, $18 for 10 and younger and free to 2 and younger), followed by game vs. the Clinton LumberKings, led by UWO alumnus Ted Tornow ’84, as general manager. Registration required.
