The achievements of a pair of athletes at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, Fond du Lac campus will be recognized posthumously as part of the University’s golf outing to support athletics.

Bernie Jones and Scott Wittchow will be inducted into the UW-Fond du Lac Athletic Hall of Fame at the 5:30 p.m. dinner of the Falcon Classic Golf Outing on Friday, Sept. 6, at South Hills Golf and Country Club, 1175 Fond du Lac Ave.

The Fond du Lac campus athletics program and the UW-Fond du Lac Foundation are co-sponsors of the event. All funds raised will benefit collegiate athletic programs offered on the Fond du Lac campus.

“We are very pleased to be partnering with both South Hills and the athletic department on this event,” said Barb Senn, executive director of the UW-Fond du Lac Foundation. “It’s a great opportunity to raise awareness in the community about the excellent collegiate athletic programs here at the Fond du Lac campus, as well as provide much-needed support.”

An athletics “wish list” includes outdoor soccer nets, removable barrier mats/wall, trophy cases/Wall of Fame, updated sound system in gym, indoor soccer goals, golf team bags and player uniforms.

Reservation deadline is Sept. 1.

The golf outing will have a shotgun-style start at noon. Golf, cart, range and Hall of Fame banquet are included in the $105/player or $420/team fees. Attendance for the Hall of Fame banquet only is $40 per person.
