The following Class Notes were received recently in the UW Oshkosh Alumni Office:

’70 Heather Williams (LS), of Madison, is a retired art and special education teacher.

’71 Tony Beregszazi (LS), of Fond du Lac, completed a multi-year term as treasurer and chair of the Fox Valley Workforce Development Board’s finance committee. Beregszazi is deputy director of ADVOCAP in Fond du Lac.

’72 Tom Davis (EHS), of Sturgeon Bay, published In the Unsettled Homeland of Dreams, a historical fiction novel about Tom Bennet’s efforts to lead six slave families through the Underground Railroad to Washington Island just off the tip of Door County.

’79 David Galassie (B), of Columbia, South Carolina, released his third book, Fort Jackson, A History of the Army’s Largest Basic Training Post. Galassie is a human resource specialist with the US Army Combined Arms Support Command.

’81 Victoria (Kaufman) Conrad (LS), of Phoenix, Arizona, completed her Masters in Organizational Leadership. Conrad is a claims service manager with the United Services Automobile Association (USAA).

’88 Kristine (Miller) Pavletich (LS), of Neenah, is the director of corporate communications at Menasha Corporation.

’89 Keith Casey (LS), of Oshkosh, is the director of veterans’ services and assistant director of community outreach for Concordia University Wisconsin. Casey has over 30 years of service in the U.S. Army.

’91 Kathleen (Clark) Yarbro (LS) and ’71 Barry Yarbro (LS), of Oshkosh, are retired and enjoy participating in numerous volunteer opportunities.

’94 Russ Steinhorst (B), of Appleton, is chief executive officer of Shopko Optical. Steinhorst was the vice president and controller of Shopko Stores Operating Company since 2009.

’97 Jason Hendricks (B), of Fond du Lac, was elected 2019-2020 chair of the board for Fox Valley Workforce Development where he has served as a board member since 2015. Hendricks is a human resources business partner at J. F. Ahern.

’97 Jason Mansmith (LS), of Ripon, received the Ripon Area School District’s Distinguished Alumni Award. Mansmith is in his 17th year as WRPN Radio’s program director and morning show host. He is also the voice of Ripon Tiger athletics.

’99 Corey Vanderpoel (B), of Hartland, was appointed to the Peoples State Bank holding company and bank board of directors. Vanderpoel is owner and managing director of Taureau Group, LLC, a Milwaukee-based investment bank providing merger and acquisition services throughout the Midwest.

’00 Joshua Preiser (LS) and ’12 (MBA), of Wausau, is a risk management analyst at M3 Insurance.

’01 Laura (Frank) Biehn (LS), of Oshkosh, is the secretary of the Fox Valley Workforce Development Board of Directors. Biehn is a senior HR business partner at Sargento Foods, Inc.

’01 Jodie Larsen (MBA), of Appleton, completed a multi-year term as immediate past board chair with the Fox Valley Workforce Development Board. Larsen is vice president of community engagement for Oshkosh Corporation.

’05 Eric Aronson (B), of Appleton, is a principal in CliftonLarsonAllen’s construction, real estate and manufacturing practice group.

’09 Ashley Bath (EHS), of Combined Locks, is the principal at Neenah’s Roosevelt Elementary and Alliance Charter Schools following a 10-year career in the Appleton Area School District.

’09 Devin (Cory) Maroszek (EHS), of Harrison, is a special education teacher with the Freedom Area School District. Maroszek previously taught for 10 years in the Marshall School District.

’10 Brian Vollmer (B), of Chicago, Illinois, is a senior account manager with Direct Supply and has been with the company for six years.

’12 Kyle Knoeck (LS), of Kewaskum, was selected by his peers to receive the Stoughton Police Department’s Officer of the Year Award.

’13 Emily McFarland (LS), of Watertown, is Watertown’s first female mayor.

’14 Heather North (LS), of Stoughton, volunteers as a community ambassador for the EOD Warrior Foundation, raising over $20,000 for the organization since 2017. North is a marketing coordinator for Costco.

’14 Randall Parks (LS), of Fort Benning, Georgia, is Captain of ABLE Company 1st Battalion, 19th Infantry Regiment.

’14 Benjamin Zblewski (LS), of Kalamazoo, Michigan, became the father of twins in February. Zblewski is one of triplets.

’15 Sarah (Bartels) Werner (N), of Beaver Dam, is an ICU nurse with float shifts to the emergency room and medical/surgical floor. Werner has two sons, ages one and three.

’16 Griffin Budde (LS), of Deforest, a fourth year pharmacy student at the University of Wisconsin, won a local shark tank competition with his pharmacy student team by building an application to help cancer patients better manage their care.

’16 Phllip Hammond (LS), of Oshkosh, is a training team lead with Alliance Laundry Systems.

’18 Rachel Davis (LS), of Madison, began a master’s program in school psychology at the University of Wisconsin Madison.

’18 Vanessa Moran (MS), of Howard, is the principal at Little Chute Elementary School.

’19 Eliza Campbell (EHS), of Green Bay, is a high school social studies teacher in the De Pere Area School District.

’19 Gretchen Styczynski (EHS), of Oconto, is a Kindergarten teacher in the Tigerton School District.
