The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh women’s basketball team begins its second straight and ninth overall trip to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Division III Championship against Loras College on Friday, March 13 in Holland, Mich. The opening tip for the second meeting between the teams this season is scheduled for 4 p.m. (CDT) in sectional host Hope College’s DeVos Fieldhouse.

UWO, winners of at least 20 games each of the past eight seasons, reached the third round of the NCAA postseason by defeating Edgewood College, 61-40, during the opening round of the tournament March 6 and Bethany Lutheran College by a score of 67-60 March 7 at the Arden Hills Regional.

Loras College is ranked 13th in the country by D3hoops.com and advanced to the third round of the Division III Championship for the first time by virtue of its 71-60 victory in the Greencastle Regional title game at host DePauw University on Saturday.

UW Oshkosh and Loras battled once already this season, with the Titans suffering an 88-83 setback in overtime Nov. 16 in Dubuque, Iowa.

The winner between the two schools will play 6 p.m. (CDT) Saturday, March 14 in the Holland Sectional championship game against the victor of Friday’s other third round matchup that features top-ranked Hope College hosting ninth-ranked Baldwin Wallace University.
