The expanded summer 2020 issue of Titan magazine–available online now–offers an in-depth review of how University of Wisconsin Oshkosh alumni, faculty, staff and students responded to the initial months of the COVID-19 pandemic.
From the first Student Health Center advisory in January to the initial impact on students studying abroad and the monumental shift to online classes at the end of March, the worldwide health crisis challenged our campus community.
“Based on the absolute unprecedented nature of the worldwide response to COVID-19, it is clearly a moment of historic significance,” said UW Oshkosh Archivist Joshua Ranger in April.
In this issue:
- Read a special message from Chancellor Andy Leavitt.
- Learn how the UWO community pulled together to support students as part of the UW Oshkosh Foundation’s Titan Rise campaign.
- Read about six ways the campus community pivoted amid the pandemic.
- Review how Titans enjoyed a slew of honors before athletic seasons ended abruptly.
The summer issue also includes a heart-warming feature about how students are helping students with a new food pantry on campus and all the regular Titan features, such as #TitansAre and Gatherings.
