Since writing this update for the 2020 CONtact magazine, I have retired from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. After serving as the development director for the College of Nursing (CON) for the past three years and the previous 15 years for the College of Education and Human Services, my last day at UWO was Aug. 20.

I want to thank you for the trust that you have given to me over the last three years. I hope that you understand the seriousness with which I treated our relationship and the sincere effort I put into trying to make every transaction as easy as possible. I am very fortunate to have worked with many of you, and I have genuinely enjoyed the opportunity to get to know you and work with you in making the CON a better place for our students, faculty and staff.

This past year has been interesting. It started with plans to combine the UWO Foundation and the Titan Alumni Foundation into one foundation. That task is completed. Going forward, all donations should be made out to the UWO Foundation.

In March, the COVID-19 pandemic hit, campus shut down, all classes went online and we started working from home. One would think it would be hard to keep raising money for our students while working from home when we usually are out personally visiting donors. Thanks to all of you, it was a smooth transition. Whether we communicated via telephone, email, snail mail, text or virtual meetings, we continued to have a successful year and the CON awarded more than $130,000 in student scholarships. Thank you for your part in this success. Your generosity is very much appreciated.

As we move forward, please direct any questions about future giving to Lynn Kleman, our Associate Vice Chancellor of Advancement at (920) 424-2428 or via email at klemanl@uwosh.edu.

Again, thank you for the opportunity to work together to help UW Oshkosh students succeed. I wish you a happy and healthy year!
