The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Symphonic Band and the Wind Ensemble will perform for a virtual audience at 3 p.m. Sunday. It is the first concert of the fall semester and will be directed by directed by Director of Bands Devin Otto.
The performance will be held in Music Hall with no live audience due to the coronavirus pandemic. The show instead will stream for free on YouTube. The concert stream will go live at 2:55 p.m. Sunday.
The program will include two works: Terry Riley’s famous In C, which was a seminal work in the American minimalist movement, and a recent work by Frank Ticheli inspired by Riley, titled In C Dorian.
