The Fox Valley Writing Project at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh has received a $43,000 grant from the National Writing Project.

This is the 22nd consecutive, annual grant that the National Writing Project has given to the University.

The Fox Valley Writing Project, a collaborative effort between UW Oshkosh’s College of Education and Human Services and area schools, brings together educators from all levels to share teaching strategies and to improve writing skills.

Patricia Scanlan, associate professor of reading education, recently assumed the title of project director, replacing Polly Montgomery, curriculum and instruction senior lecturer, who retired after serving in that role since 1998.
