University of Wisconsin Oshkosh students are invited to take part in the Nearly Naked Mile, a mile-long run/walk on campus Thursday, March 3.

The goals of the run include collecting and donating clothing for  Easter Seals of Wisconsin and raising awareness of the University’s  Student Alumni Ambassadors organization.

In addition, Circle K  is helping organize the free event, which includes registration beginning at 5:30 p.m., the run/walk at 6:15 p.m. and a reception to follow.

Runners should come dressed in layers and be prepared to shed some of their clothing at the starting line for donation and then run/walk nearly naked. The first 100 registrants will receive a free T-shirt.

Participants will depart from and finish at the historical Pollock Alumni House, home to the Alumni Relations Office, at 765 Algoma Blvd.

For more information, contact the Alumni Office at (920) 424-3449.

Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to contribute calendar items, campus announcements and other good news to UW Oshkosh Today.
