The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh College of Business offers multiple scholarships within their Master of Business Administration (MBA) Executive program. Each scholarship has specific, unique requirements for students to qualify.
The scholarships include:
- Road Warrior – offered to graduate students who travel more than 75 miles to the Appleton Executive Education Center for MBA Executive classes.
- Single Parent – offered to graduate students who are single parents with at least one dependent child under the age of 18.
- Veterans – offered to graduate students who are currently serving or honorably discharged veterans of the United States military (any branch).
- Government and Not-for-Profit – offered to graduate students who work for the government (federal, state or local) or who work for a nonprofit organization with a focus on enhancing the greater good.
- Multi-Student – offered to two or more individuals (maximum of five) who are employed by the same company or who identify a personal or professional connection.

Assistant COB Dean Dale Feinauer said the scholarships provided by the MBA Executive program can help reduce costs for students who may face greater financial constraints.
“The scholarships defray some of the costs for students. They also are our way to recognize that some students face more logistical challenges when participating in the EMBA program,” Feinauer said.
Michelle Flanagan, MBA Executive program graduate student of Caledonia, Minnesota, received the veteran’s scholarship for her service in the military. The scholarship helped make the decision to continue her education easier.
“I am extremely thankful for the veteran’s scholarship and was happy to see so many other scholarship opportunities. The funds provided helped with some of the financial burden of continuing my education,” Flanagan said.
Adam Ellison ‘19, an MBA Executive program alum, is a past recipient of the government and not-for-profit scholarship. The Omro native considers himself fortunate to have received a scholarship for the program and encourages other students to consider applying .
“My scholarship helped me with the cost of my tuition,” Ellison said. “My advice to other students is why not apply? It doesn’t hurt to try, and scholarship programs are a great way to help with the financial burden of rising tuition costs.”
