University of Wisconsin Oshkosh students will have more flexibility when it comes to living in residence halls beginning next fall.
The University will offer a weekdays-only option for on-campus housing. The option comes at a reduced price—the savings are more than 10% the regular rate—and provides flexibility for students who travel home for work, family needs or other priorities on weekends.
Webster Hall will be used for weekdays-only living and the building will be closed from 8 p.m. Fridays to noon Sundays. Students will need to vacate the hall during that time.
“We are always looking for ways to lower financial barriers for our students to have a residential experience, and we hope this offering gives our students some flexibility in choosing their housing,” said Robert Babcock, director of residence life at UWO.
Current students returning in fall can contact the residence life office to request a switch to the weekdays-only hall.
