The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh welcomed more than a thousand guests to the Oshkosh campus Sunday for a very special anniversary: It was Sept. 12, 1871 that the Oshkosh State Normal School welcomed students for its first day of classes. Now 150 years later, the University held its Sesquicentennial Community Celebration with four hours of food, drinks, live music, children’s entertainment, an address from the Chancellor and other dignitaries, and much more.
