Arts Integration Symposium

March 15

Arts Integration Symposium

All interested current and preservice teachers are welcome to attend regardless of discipline or level of instruction. The day will be rich with ideas for everyone. Marcia Daft’s keynote presentation on arts integration will focus on: WHAT am I teaching? WHY am I teaching this way? HOW do I facilitate the instruction? Daft is a national workshop leader for the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, a master artist with the Wolf Trap Institute for Early Learning Through the Arts, and a consultant for arts institutions throughout the U.S.

Attendees also will have the opportunity to join round tables featuring art integration lessons from local teachers using this approach in their classrooms. They will share lesson planning, teaching experiences, and hands on learning. Registration is required and opens Jan. 28.
