African American women are making significant strides in the United States, but there is a long way to go to fully close the racial and ethnic disparities they face. Join us for a discussion on education attainment, health and wellness, entrepreneurship and leadership, as it pertains to African American women and the challenges they face and triumphs achieved. The discussion will be led by Sylvia Carey-Butler, assistant vice chancellor of Academic Support of Inclusive Excellence (UW Oshkosh), Norlisha Crawford, African American Studies program director (UW Oshkosh), Ameerah McBride, director, Office of Equity and Affirmative Action (UW Oshkosh), and Veronica Warren, Counseling Center associate director (UW Oshkosh). This event is sponsored by the Black Student Union.
