Careers in Criminal Justice

October 13, 2015 @ 2:45 pm - 5:00 pm

Maximum Attendees: 45 (44 Remaining)

The Career Services Office is partnering with the UW Oshkosh Police Department to provide Criminal Justice students, and those interested in working in Law Enforcement, with the opportunity to learn more about the unique hiring process individuals go through. The event will consist of two parts, the first being an opportunity to learn of the positions departments attending are currently recruiting for, and the second being an opportunity to speak with each department regarding their recruitment process. Learn preparation tips and techniques needed to impress employers in the current job market. Gain knowledge on what to expect throughout your recruitment process. Develop tools to “sell” yourself, discover how to avoid common interviewing mistakes, and ways to answer “tough” interview questions. If you are even considering a career in the Criminal Justice field, this is the workshop for you. Registration is limited and you will receive a confirmation closer to the date. Please email Erin at if you require special accommodations or services during the event. Employers Attending (more will be added): Fond du Lac Police Department City of Oshkosh Police Department Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department Wisconsin State Patrol City of Appleton Police Department Wisconsin Department of Corrections Waupun Correctional Institution Wisconsin DNR Dane County Sheriff’s Department
