Dementia Touches Us All – Workshop #3 Managing Challenging Situations in Dementia

June 12 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

$25 – $40

As Wisconsin’s population ages, experts predict that the number of our citizens living with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease will more than double by 2040. It may be surprising to learn that about 70 percent of those with dementia still live in their communities. It’s likely that you know of, care for, or have heard about someone living with the condition. Awareness and understanding are keys to making our communities an inclusive and supportive environment for those living with the condition.

“Dementia Touches Us All” is a three-part series that addresses a variety of issues related to dementia…its causes, symptoms, behaviors and more. Community members are invited to attend any or all the three-hour public workshops.

This workshop is meant for all members of the community including professional and family caregivers, retail businesses, healthcare providers, emergency response personnel, and public and private agencies.
