MADISON POLICE RECRUITMENT AT UW OSHKOSH
October 12, 2015 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
The Madison Police Department will be recruiting applicants for our 2016 hiring process at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh TODAY – October 12, 2015 in Sage Hall room #1234 at 4:00pm. I encourage you to stop by with questions about our agency, the hiring process, our hiring timeline, and our internship program.
At approximately 4:45pm, I will be administering our written test to those who are interested in taking it. The test will take less than two hours and there is no registration needed to take the test. It is not required that you have submitted an application prior to taking the test. Applications will be available to those who have not yet applied and are also available online at http://www.cityofmadison.com/police/jointeam/applypacket.cfm . Our application deadline for the 2016 hiring process is November 2, 2015 so the MPD application would need to be completed and submitted by that date to be considered for the 2016 class. The test score will be mailed to you the following week.
The Madison Police Department actively recruits a diverse pool of applicants which closely reflects the makup of the city’s citizens which it serves. The MPD offers it’s own academy upon hiring, so it is not necessary that you be DOJ certified/certifiable. A major or degree in criminal justice is not needed. Many of our employees come from a very broad range of educational backgrounds and life experiences. At MPD we value diversity and professionalism.
