Parking: There is one large parking lot in front of campus in which you can park. Parking permits for the Oshkosh campus will cover parking on the Fox Cities Campus.

Biology
The UW Oshkosh biology department has faculty with expertise in areas of biology from ichthyology to immunology, from parasitology to proteomics, from mycology to medical bacteriology.
Chemistry
The UW Oshkosh Department of Chemistry offers American Chemical Society-certified bachelor’s degrees in chemistry and biochemistry, as well as chemistry with an emphasis in biomolecular science (for those interested in medical fields), and chemistry–secondary education.

The National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) projects a 29% increase in the number of new teachers hired in public schools across the U.S. over the next five years. An estimated 2.2 million teachers will need to be hired and 700,000 of those will be new graduates.
College of Letters and Sciences

Computer Science

Our program gives students a broad interdisciplinary liberal arts education in environmental issues that students combine with specialized study that fits their interests and goals. Geology
Geology is the science of the whole Earth system including earthquakes, volcanoes, resources, life, environment, and climate. Geologists are curious and love to be outside. The Geology Department at UW Oshkosh focuses on undergraduate education in geology, and is focused on field experiences. Are you interested in the Earth, its environment, and its climate? History
Students at UW Oshkosh can choose 36-credit major or 24-credit minor in history. The UWO Department of History is dedicated to teaching and researching the history of the world. We believe that obtaining a nuanced and informed historical perspective can help every citizen think critically, clearly and creatively.
Indigenous Studies
Indigenous Studies is a dynamic, interdisciplinary approach that emphasizes Indigenous knowledge systems, pedagogy, leadership, problem solving, perspectives and methodologies employed by Indigenous Peoples.
The Indigenous Studies Certificate provides students opportunities to develop their understandings of Indigenous perspectives, voices, experiences, cultures, complex histories, and contemporary issues. The certificate program’s focus on Indigeneity extends from the First Nations people of Wisconsin throughout North America and globally.
This program aims to expand experiential learning opportunities, with a special emphasis on how cultural and environmental sustainability converges with Indigenous knowledge and practices, while opening possibilities for mutually beneficial collaborative partnerships with Native mentors and communities.
International & Global Studies
A degree in international studies provides you with the skills and knowledge to deeply engage with contemporary global issues. Because of its interdisciplinary nature, the International Studies Program is a perfect fit for students who want to explore complex, global problems and opportunities from multiple, critical perspectives. As an international studies major, you can become a leader in creating global solutions and navigating diverse places.
Kinesiology/Athletic Training
The Exercise and Sport Science major utilizes a strong scientific base and experiential learning components for students interested in the field of Kinesiology, including careers in fitness, health, and wellness.
Mathematics
The mathematics department at UW Oshkosh consists of about 40 faculty, academic and administrative staff members dedicated to mathematics teaching and research. Housed in Swart Hall, the department has many technologically equipped teaching rooms, easy access to the Swart Hall computer lab and a free tutor lab for our students. We offer undergraduate majors and minors in several different mathematical emphases. The Master of Science in Mathematics Education is a program designed for the professional mathematics educator.
McNair Scholars Program
Our UWO McNair Scholars Program seeks to empower high-achieving, first-generation, low-income, and racially minoritized undergraduates to realize their potential by providing opportunities to develop skills and gain the experiences that will prepare them for graduate study. Central to our mission is to build a community of scholarship where participants engage in faculty-mentored research, distinguished by active learning, mutual respect, and collaborative scholarship. Medical Laboratory Science and Medical Imaging
A Medical Laboratory Science degree from UWO will prepare you for a challenging and rewarding career in healthcare laboratories. Medical Laboratory Scientists (MLS) play a key role in the modern laboratory. Their primary responsibility is to perform tests on blood and other body fluids, and they are also responsible for laboratory procedures in areas such as clinical chemistry, microbiology, hematology, serology and urinalysis. Information gained through these tests can help a physician to identify a patient’s disease and evaluate effective treatment.

Music
For students who love music and are seeking a career in this diverse and challenging field, the UW Oshkosh Music Department offers a number of music degree programs including Music Education, Performance, Composition, Music Business, Audio Production, Bachelor of Arts or Science in Music, and several minors and certificates. All majors and the music minor require a playing audition in order to be admitted to the program.

The Philosophy Department at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh is located on the third floor of Radford Hall, in the heart of our scenic campus on the Fox River. The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh’s award-winning Theatre Department offers a program combining personalized attention with a full range of classroom and production opportunities. Women's and Gender Studies
The Women’s Studies Program was created at UW Oshkosh in 1974. It became the Women’s and Gender Studies Program in 2013, to more accurately reflect the contents of its curriculum. The program seamlessly aligns with the four priorities described in UWO’s strategic plan: enhance student success, promote academic excellence, expand community engagement and economic development, and build an inclusive and supportive institutional environment.
