University Staff Grant
To participate, you must be currently employed at UW Oshkosh or Access Campuses–UW Fond du Lac and UW Fox Valley as a permanent University Staff member, and have completed at least one continuous year of employment on their campus.
Grants are intended solely for non-credit conferences, seminars and workshops (hereinafter referred to as an event). Dependent on fund availability, grants will be awarded up to $350. Currently, we are NOT requiring the University Staff member’s unit/department to match the grant.
The budget submitted must include the grant amount requested, the event fee and all estimated travel expenses for the event (e.g., transportation costs, mileage, meals, lodging, etc.).
Grants are available for Fall, 2019 (July 1 through Dec. 31, 2019). The application deadline for fall is 4:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 8, 2019, for events scheduled any time between July 1, 2019 through Dec. 31, 2019.
Grant recipients will be notified by Friday, Nov. 22, 2019, and provided with information about their grant disbursements. Within one month of the scheduled event date (or upon notification of receiving the award), grant recipients must submit a written report about the event’s content and how it met the employee’s and supervisor’s expectations. University staff members failing to submit a timely report will be ineligible to apply for another grant.
