
Weis’n’Miners Geology Club
The Weis’n’Miners Geology Club is sponsored by the Weis Museum. The club is for everyone interested in minerals, fossils, lapidary and jewelry-making, geology, archaeology, gems, metaphysics and mining. Everyone is welcome – singles, couples, families, all ages and levels of knowledge. First organized in 2007, the Weis’n’Miners Club has already become the largest geology club in Wisconsin!

Meetings
When: Last Thursday of every month, 6:30 p.m. (except December)

What: Specimen identification and show-and-tell, speakers and demonstrations, door prizes or auctions, light refreshments and activities for the kids and some of our past meetings included presentations on wire-wrapping, mammoths and archaeology, gem faceting, gold, fluorescent minerals and copper mines of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
Field Trips
Go on great field trips with us to collect and learn about geology! Some past field trips included Michigan’s Cooper Country, quarries in northeastern Wisconsin, Earthaven Museum and more!

Join the Club
Pick up a membership form at the Weis Natural Science Museum or download one here. Return it to the Museum or at a club meeting. Annual dues are only $10 for a single member or $15 for families.
