Student Wellness Action Team

The purpose of the Student Wellness Action Team is to promote health and wellness to the students of University of Wisconsin. This organization will give students the opportunity to meet, communicate, volunteer, and support fellow students pursuing common wellness goals, as well as to promote healthy campus initiatives! We are concerned not only with health, but with overall wellness: state or quality of being healthy in mind, body, and spirit. In addition, our focus on wellness is holistic by promoting the physical, mental, and social well-being of all students on campus.

UWO National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI)

The National Alliance on Mental Illness at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh is a student-led organization here to provide resources for anyone impacted directly or indirectly by mental illness. We are dedicated to informing our campus community about mental illnesses, including early detection and intervention skills. By expanding the knowledge and awareness of those within our campus community, our goal is to dispel many of the stigmas and myths associated with mental illness. In addition, NAMI UW-Oshkosh holds a peer-to-peer support group under the name Uncomfortable Conversations; a confidential support group led by students who have been trained and certified by The National Alliance on Mental Illness, Wisconsin chapter.

Party.0 is an organization that provides an opportunity for college students to have fun in an environment without the consumption of alcohol or use of drugs. Party.0 mainly hosts house parties where anyone and everyone is welcome to attend! The only rule is that alcohol and drugs may not be present during an event.

Party.0 provides free food, games, music, and other fun activities. There is about one party a month, so look out for some upcoming dates! This group also loves to pair up with other organizations to help spread the word of alcohol awareness and how to have fun while being sober.
