At about 12:45 a.m. today, City of Oshkosh and UW Oshkosh police officers responded to reports of shots fired near French Quarter, a bar located at 539 High Ave. Officers quickly determined that the subject accused of firing the shots was involved in an altercation that began inside the bar, had moved outside and then they fled the area.  This incident is being investigated by the City of Oshkosh Police Department. Subject: Shooting Incident
(Oshkosh, WI): December 11, 2020: The Oshkosh Police Department is currently investigating a shooting that occurred in the parking lot outside the French Quarter, a bar located at 539 High Avenue in the City of Oshkosh.
On December 11, 2020 at 12:45 AM, officers were dispatched to a report of multiple gunshots in the area of 539 High Ave in the City of Oshkosh. Once on the scene officers discovered evidence that gunshots had been fired.
There are no known injuries related to this incident. There is one involved subject in custody for drug charges but no other suspects in custody at this time. The incident appears to have been in relation to an altercation that began inside the bar before moving outside, and was not random. This investigation is still ongoing and investigators are working to identify potential suspects and witnesses.
