Thank you to everyone who was able to attend the September 6 opening!

We send much gratitude to Beyann Alzoubi, premed major and featured speaker (pictured right), who represented Honors members on behalf of the University Honors Student Association. Beyann also served as emcee and introduced campus guest Ray Cross (President of the UW System) as well as  John Koker (Interim Provost and Vice Chancellor) and Chancellor Leavitt, all of whom offered remarks.

If you were unable to join us, please stop by the Honors Lounge to sign the commemorative poster.

Campus and community members were invited to Oviatt House for the grand opening of the Honors College at UW Oshkosh on Wednesday, September 6, at 1:00 p.m.

By transitioning from an Honors Program to an Honors College, we are expanding the presence of Honors education at UW Oshkosh and building on the success of the Honors Program. Students will have even more opportunities to enjoy the benefits of Honors education: team-taught seminars and small-capacity, dynamic Honors courses; early registration privileges; individual advising; study abroad opportunities; and high-impact, mentored research, to name a few. These are the hallmarks of Honors that will continue to enable our students to become first-rate scholars, engaged citizens, and leaders of today and tomorrow.
