We’re all getting ready for the first week of the fall semester, which also means thinking about the Honors Senior Capstone and, for some of you, Honors Graduation. If you’re a senior (or soon will be) and need details about which route to take for your Honors Capstone, this meeting’s for you!

  Honors Senior Capstone Meeting

Thursday, September 6, at 4:00

Friday, September 7, at 9:00

Location: Oviatt House

We’ll discuss the two options and answer any questions regarding this final Honors requirement:

Option #1

HNRS 475: HONORS SENIOR SEMINAR Students develop and complete in-depth research projects integrating the class theme and their major/minor. (Note: Three seminars will be offered in spring 2019: Monday 5:00-8:00 with Dr. Stewart Cole, Wednesday 5:00-8:00 with Dr. Nadia Louar, and Thursday 5:00-8:00 with Courtney Bauder.)

Option #2

TBA-474: HONORS THESIS A Thesis is a two-semester process whereby students develop and complete independently designed research projects in their major/minor with a faculty advisor. Their work is presented during the Honors Thesis Symposia.

***Attention, Fall 2018 Honors Thesis planners***

For those of you who are beginning the Thesis process NOW (fall semester), your attendance at one of these meetings is important. See you there!

Fall 2018 Honors Graduation

If you have completed/are in the process of completing your Honors requirements and are graduating this semester, the Fall 2018 Honors Graduation Ceremony will be held Friday, December 14, at the Alumni Welcome & Conference Center at 5:30. It is on this celebratory occasion that your Honors Medallion or Honors Certificate will be awarded, and your friends and family are welcome too!

We would be grateful if you would confirm your fall 2018 graduation by completing an Honors Graduation Information Form.
