Secker-Anderson has more than 20 years of experience in baton twirling and dance. She graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in communications and political science. Seckar-Anderson is a former national and world champion baton twirler, and was the Golden Girl featured twirler at Iowa, where she had the privilege of performing in Kinnick Stadium with the Hawkeye Marching Band for five seasons.

Highlights from her college marching band career include performing in the Big Ten championship game at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis in 2015, followed by the Rose Bowl parade and game in Pasadena, California. She teaches and is co-director at Julie’s Touch of Silver Dance Studio in Oshkosh. Additionally, she is one of three coaches for the National and World Champion Touch of Silver Twirling Corps. Seckar-Anderson helps both team and solo members achieve their highest potential at the elite level. Her students have been featured twirlers and members of twirling lines at Iowa, Purdue University, University of Minnesota, University of Nebraska and University of Alabama.
