Please join Reeve Union’s Diversity and Inclusion Programs on our new date: Thursday, April 23rd for online discussions with Romeo Jackson.

Romeo Jackson serves as the LGBTQ & Gender Program Coordinator at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas and was named one of the 100 LGBTQ/SGL “Emerging Leaders to Watch,” by the National Black Justice Coalition. Romeo is committed to uplifting and empowering queer and trans people of color through a critical black queer feminist lens. The schedule of Romeo’s online discussions will be as follows:

1PM – Supporting Queer and Trans Students of Color: A discussion on how, particularly, faculty and staff can collaborate with queer and trans students of Color to create space that affirms, celebrates, and centers queer and trans students of Color.

7PM – Intersectional Coalition Building: “There is no such thing as a single-issue struggle because we do not live single-issue lives.” – Audre Lorde. This session on Intersectional Coalition Building will discuss how to build coalitions between and within movements without categorizing oppressions and further marginalizing folks within justice movements.

Both sessions will be hosted over Microsoft Teams. The link to the Team is: https://bit.ly/2V0UHCR
