Occupational/Environmental Health and Safety Updates: (Schill/Welch)
EH&S Committee:
Report concerns about the conditions of walkways and parking lots by calling UWPD dispatcher at ext. 1212. Do not call Facilities, Grounds, or Lori Welch. The dispatcher contacts Grounds crew members directly to get a quicker response time
If members are using space heaters in their offices, classrooms, or labs, they must send Lori Welch a picture of the unit, focusing on its controls. UW System has specific guidelines about the use of space heaters in campus buildings, as well as specific specs on the features of space heaters used.
Lab Shop Studio Safety (LSSST):
Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC): next meeting is scheduled for January 24th. The IBC submission deadline for that meeting is January 12th.
