In our third day here in St. Louis, we started out the day with a presentation that provided us with a brief history of the city. Afterwards, we headed to Jubilee Community Church. There, we performed a number of tasks in order to help jumpstart an urban community farm. We dug trenches, hauled wood chips, and created plots for fruit trees and vegetables to be planted on. Our lunch today consisted of leftovers from Missy’s mom, Barb. Thanks, Barb! After a productive day of work, we headed back to Mission St. Louis to debrief about our day and get ready to head out to Delmar Loop for the evening. Part of the group ate dinner at Blueberry Hill and the other at Sugarfire. After walking around the loop, we ended the night at a 1950s-style diner, The Peacock Diner, where some got milkshakes and others pie. Overall, we had a really great, productive day here in St. Louis, and we can’t wait to see what tomorrow has in store for us!
