Dear Members of the UW Oshkosh Campus Community:

We have received notification from UW Madison University Health Services that there are two confirmed cases of Meningitis – Serogroup B on the UW Madison campus. As a result, the Wisconsin Department of Public Health is launching a mass immunization for UW Madison undergraduate students.

Although cases of Meningitis are rare and not currently on our UW Oshkosh campus, we believe it is important to provide the campus community with current information and to support your safety.

Whenever health and safety concerns arise, we pledge to keep you informed and up-to-date and will share additional pertinent information if it becomes available from the Wisconsin Department of Public Health. In the meantime, please visit the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) website for additional information on Meningitis.

If you have questions or concerns please contact your helath care provider, or students can contact the Student Health Center by email at studenthealth@uwosh.edu or via telephone at 920.424.2424.

Sincerely,
Pamela MacWilliams, MSN, APNP, ANP-BC
