$100 and scholarships for COVID-19 vaccination; on-campus clinic details
Kurt Leibold, UW Oshkosh Police Chief | August 27, 2021
Dear UWO students,
As your return to campus nears, there is one more thing we want you to check off your to-do list: get vaccinated for COVID-19. And now there are more reasons than ever to get vaccinated NOW.
In case you missed the statewide announcement this week, Wisconsin is giving $100 to state residents who get vaccinated Aug. 20 through Labor Day, Sept. 6.
If you’ve been waiting to get vaccinated, wait no longer; then visit this website to register for your $100.
This incentive is in addition to University of Wisconsin System’s 70 for 70 campaign. That campaign will provide vaccinated fulltime UWO students on all three campuses an opportunity to receive one of eight $7,000 scholarship if 70% of our student population is vaccinated by Oct. 15. Learn more about 70 for 70 on this website.
And if that isn’t enough to encourage you to get the shot, UWO also is offering 10 $1,000 scholarships to fulltime UWO students on all three campuses who are fully vaccinated by Oct. 15. Learn more about this program and other COVID-19 information on the Titans Return website.
To be eligible for these scholarships you must be fully vaccinated (through the second shot for two-dose shots) by Oct. 15 and fill out the UWO vaccination report form that you will find on this page or use this link.
If you’ve been waiting for the FDA to give full approval to the vaccine, wait no longer. FDA approved Pfizer vaccine this week. Moderna also has filed for full approval of its vaccine.
To sum it up: get vaccinated, report it: get $100; and a chance for a $7,000 or $1,000 scholarship.
