Get your flu shot, get your COVID-19 booster, we have them all
UW Oshkosh Police Chief Kurt Leibold | November 1, 2021
Dear University community,
UW Oshkosh now has all three types of COVID-19 booster shots available: Moderna, Pfizer and J&J.
If you have been waiting for a booster to match your initial vaccination type you need wait no longer.
Shots are available 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday at Albee Hall, where we also are offering flu vaccine. We expect to offer vaccine and testing at Albee at least through Thanksgiving.
COVID-19 vaccine and booster shots and flu shots are free to UWO students, staff and faculty. Please sign up on the MyPrevea app to schedule an appointment time. This will help us prepare and keep people moving smoothly in and out of Albee. While the linked instructions are for a COVID-19 test and COVID-19 vaccine, you can also register for a flu shot beginning Wednesday. Just click on the appropriate prompts. If you have difficulty with the app, please come to the Albee testing/vaccine center and someone will help you.
Getting a booster has proven effective at further mitigating COVID-19. We encourage you if you are eligible, particularly if you are in a vulnerable group, to get the booster shot. And if you haven’t gotten the COVID-19 vaccine, sign up today to protect yourself and your loved ones.
As we spend more time indoors, we also tend to see an increase in the number of flu cases. It is more important than ever to protect yourself against the flu.
Sign up today. It’s free. It’s easy. It’s right on the Oshkosh campus.
