It’s been an unprecedented year and a half for many professions—nursing no doubt among them. In the latest issue of CONtact magazine, we explore a number of ways the University of Wisconsin College of Nursing continues to adapt to the challenges brought on by the pandemic. Among them is a look at how nursing students at UW Oshkosh helped vaccinate the community against COVID-19.

“Witnessing the innovation and devotion of the nursing profession over the past 12-18 months has deepened my desire to continue our proud tradition of excellence in nursing education,” writes College of Nursing Interim Dean Bonnie Nickasch in her first published message to CONtact readers.

The 2021 issue features stories on a DNP student’s telehealth project and how it came to fruition right as it was needed more than ever; how nursing educators are getting trained via UWO’s online master’s program; and our annual update on what’s new in the College of Nursing.

For those stories and more, check out the latest edition of CONtact.
