The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh will be well represented at the 2021 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Championships.

The entire UW Oshkosh men’s team and two individual runners on the UWO women’s team will compete Nov. 20 at Tom Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Kentucky.

The men’s race will begin at 10 a.m., followed by the women’s race at 11 a.m. A livestream of the championships will be available at ncaa.com beginning at 10 a.m. and running until the conclusion of the awards ceremony.

To be eligible to participate in the championships, teams and individuals had to qualify in their respective NCAA regional competitions that was held this past weekend.

Men’s team chasing championship

The UWO men’s team finished third in the North Regional at Colfax and earned the ability to race as a team in the national cross country championship. The Titans placed all five of its scorers in the top 42 in the 29-team meet featuring 222 runners. Following is the Titans team of seven runners in the order they placed at the Regional: Mitchell Bradford, 17th; Cody Chadwick, 20th; Steven Potter, 22nd; Andrew George, 23rd; Joe Kehoe, 42nd; Jason Ford, 59th;  and Andrew Rathkamp, 77th.

Two women advance

Hannah Lohrenz, third; and Alexandria Demco, 10th; ran to top 10 finishes for the UWO women in the North Regional at Whitetail Golf Course in Colfax, earning individual spots in the national championships.
