’71 Don Hale (LS) and ’84 (MA), of Watertown, was nominated for induction into the National Wrestling Coaches Hall of Fame in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Hale served as middle school and high school band director in Winneconne and was the high school’s head wrestling coach from 1977-2004. Hale also started the Winneconne Youth Wrestling Club.

’78 Jeffery Gerritt (LS), of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is in Ukraine writing columns that tell the stories of the refugees, displaced citizens and soldiers of Ukraine. Gerritt is a Pulitzer Prize recipient and editor of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

’82 Robert Snyder (LS), of Platteville, has been appointed to the Research Initiatives Committee of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, an organization focused on finding cures for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. Snyder is a professor of communication at UW-Platteville.

’84 Chris Beeksma (N), of Iron River, works as a fishing guide in his retirement. His wife, ’85 Sandy (Paque) Beeksma (EHS), is retired but serves as an emergency medical technician and firefighter.

’86 Michael Karns (LS), of Redding, California, owns Boundary Waters Screen Printing and Embroidery.

’88 Chris Gall (LS), of Charlotte, North Carolina, a senior account manager in the Global Services Division, is celebrating 30 years with AT&T. Gall is married to ’87 Diane (Olson) Gall (LS).

’89 Steve O’Malley (MPA), of La Crosse, will retire this summer as La Crosse County administrator, a position he’s held since 2003.

’93 Stephanie (Moore) Filter (LS), of Janesville, received the Wisconsin School Administrators’ 2022 Wisconsin Elementary Principal of the Year Award for her work at Madison Elementary School in Janesville.

’94 Kathleen “Katie” (Calvey) Grant (N), of Menomonee Falls, received the 2022 School Sisters of Notre Dame (SSND) Women’s Leadership Award for her work in nursing at SSND Elm Grove and her development of nursing education programs in the Milwaukee area.

’94 Mike VanderLoop (LS) and ’00 Jen (Oatman) VanderLoop (MSE) of Appleton, work as head and assistant coaches for the 2022 Wisconsin State Championship Freedom High School girls basketball team. According to the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA), the VanderLoops are likely the first spouses to coach girls basketball together in the state.

’97 Brent Nerat (EHS), of Menominee, Michigan, was inducted into the Menominee High School Athletic Hall of Fame.

’99 Lydia Rosenbaum (LS), of Los Angeles, California, is the executive director of clinical and research operations for the Cedars-Sinai Health System.

’02 Shawn Robinson (EHS), of Oshkosh, won the $10,000 Project Pitch It Award for his Doctor Dyslexia Dude graphic novel business. Robinson is a senior research associate in Wisconsin’s Equity and Inclusion Laboratory, a dyslexia consultant and member of the International Dyslexia Association’s board of directors.

’02 Janel (Duffrin) Thoune (LS) and ’14 (MBA), of Eland, is the senior vice president of marketing and mission for CoVantage Credit Union. Thoune was previously the vice president and marketing director at People’s State Bank and has 20 years of leadership and marketing experience.

’03 Michael Hoffman (EHS), of Fond du Lac, is the executive director of Threshold Inc. Hoffman has been with Threshold for over 18 years as associate director and director of the Birth -to-3 Program.

’03 Erin Krebs (EHS), of Appleton, performed as part of the Roots of Jazz series at the Waupaca High School commons. Krebs was awarded the Wisconsin Area Music Industry Female Vocalist of the Year in 2019 and Jazz Artist of the Year in 2018, along with partner Jeff Johnston. Krebs taught music in schools for a decade before focusing on her career as a vocalist and teaching private music lessons.

’06 Eric Strelitzer (LS), of New Berlin, produces a weekly podcast for Allspring Global Investments titled On The Trading Desk. Strelitzer is also working on his second independent feature film, One With Nature, that he wrote and plans to direct and produce.

’09 Sabrina Johnson (LS) and ’12 (MS), of Oshkosh, is the executive director of human resources for the Oshkosh Area School District, effective June 6. Johnson is currently the assistant vice president for human resources at Marian University.

’10 Jacki Thering (EHS) and (LS) of New Berlin, an elementary orchestra teacher, received a Herb Kohl Educational Foundation award.

’12 Mallory Jacobson (LS), of St. Paul, Minnesota, is a multimedia designer with Mally Creative. Jacobson and her fiancé celebrated the one-year anniversary of their Movie Lovers podcast.

’15 Lance Fritz (EHS), of Coloma, is the Poynette High School varsity girls basketball coach. Fritz is a physical education and health teacher at Westfied High School.

’15 Joseph Stephenson (LS) and ’20 (MPA), of Oshkosh, is the director of planning and community development for the City of Kaukauna. Stephenson is married to ’18 Samantha (Kirchner) Stephenson (LS).

’15 Travis Teesch (LS), of Kaukauna, is the Watertown chief of fire and emergency operations. Teesch was Kaukauna’s assistant fire chief since 1999 and holds many additional specialization certificates including HAZMAT operation, ice rescue, national incident management system and more.

’18 Kaelee Heideman (MSE), of Big Bend, a counselor at Carl Traeger Elementary School in Oshkosh, was named one of five Wisconsin Teachers of the Year by the Wisconsin Department of Instruction. Heideman used her skills as a camp counselor to connect with her students during the Covid pandemic by sending handwritten letters to her students while they learned virtually.

’18 Benjamin Krumenauer (MPA), of Osceola, is the Village of Bellevue’s administrator. Krumenauer was formerly the administrator for the Village of Osceola.

’20 J.B. Moody (LS), of Stevens Point, is the Stevens Point fire chief after serving as lead paramedic, lieutenant, captain and assistant chief.

’21 Andrew Haese (LS), of Jackson, is the host of the This Has No Point podcast.

’21 Neal Hogden (LS), of Marshfield, is the editor for the Abbotsford Tribune-Phonograph.
