Flags will be flown at half-staff at UW Oshkosh from sunrise to sunset on Tuesday, Nov. 20, as a mark of respect for Army Sgt. James W. McDonald, who died from injuries sustained during combat operations in Iraq.

 

McDonald, 26, of Neenah, Wis., died Nov. 12 at Fort Hood, Texas. He was a 2000 graduate of Neenah High School, where he was involved with the football team, choir, drama club, Youth Go and the Wisconsin National Guard Cadet program. He served with the 1st Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment., of the U.S. Army.

 

Gov. Jim Doyle has directed that all U.S. and Wisconsin flags be flown at half-staff at all state buildings, grounds and military installations.
