Assistant professor Colin Long, of the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh’s geography and urban planning department, coauthored a research paper published Feb. 3 in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Science. The paper, “Wildfire Response to Abrupt Climate Change in North America,” focused on the response of biomass burning to climate changes. Long’s contribution to the study was funded by a UW Oshkosh Faculty Development research grant.
