The University of Wisconsin-Fond du Lac is hosting two admission events on Wednesday, April 30. An Open House for returning adult students will be held 3-6:30 p.m. in the University Center Common. Parents Night follows at 6:30 p.m. in UC-113/114.

During the Open House, advisors from several UW four-year campuses will provide information about earning a bachelor’s degree at UW-Fond du Lac or online.

Representatives from these degree programs are scheduled to participate: UW Continuing Education Outreach and E-learning, UW Flex Degree, UW-Milwaukee College Connection, UW-Oshkosh (Organizational Administration, Human Services Leadership and Special Education), UW-Stout Distance Education and UW-Superior Distance Education. UW-Fond du Lac admission specialists will be available to answer questions about starting or completing a bachelor’s degree.

Parents often have different types of questions about college than students. The Parent’s Night event is specifically designed to focus on those topics. It will include information on admission, paying for college, transfer and student support services. This session will also cover how UW-Fond du Lac can fit into a high school student’s educational goals and future transfer plans.

Parents are also invited to come early and visit the Open House. This is an opportunity to learn about options for either their own degree completion plans or those of their student.

It’s important to meet with an advisor now about fall enrollment said Joyce Atkins, assistant dean for student affairs. “The Open House is an opportunity to learn about several UW partner schools and degree completion options with one trip to campus,” said Atkins. “The Parents Night session will give families the information they need to make good decisions about the future.”

No advance registration is needed for either event. To schedule an appointment with a UW-Fond du Lac advisor on a different date, call (920) 929-1122.
