Menasha, Wis. (Nov. 19, 2015) – The Fox Valley Concert Band, conducted by Dr. Marc Sackman, will present its annual holiday concert on Saturday, Dec. 12 at 4 p.m. in the James W. Perry Hall on the campus of the University of Wisconsin – Fox Valley.

The program will include several pieces inspired by the music of Eastern Europe, including Dan Rager’s Russian Folk Dances and Russian Christmas Music by Alfred Reed. The band will also perform Berceuse and Finale from Igor Stravinsky’s The Firebird and two movements from Gordon Jacob’s William Byrd Suite, including The Earle of Oxford’s Marche.

The band will conclude the evening with An American in Paris by George Gershwin and in celebration of the holiday season, Leroy Anderson’s A Christmas Festival.
