The University of Wisconsin-Fond du Lac, a UW Oshkosh campus, will hold its annual spring commencement ceremony at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, in the Prairie Theater, 400 University Dr., Fond du Lac.

Graduates will be awarded associate degrees in arts and science.

UW-Fond du Lac alumna Maggie McCullough is the commencement speaker. After one year at the UW-Fond du Lac campus, she continued her college studies at UW Oshkosh and earned a bachelor’s degree in medical technology. She holds a master’s degree in health services administration from Central Michigan University Institute for Personal and Career Development.

After 20 years of employment in hospitals, McCullough worked for the next 20 years as an independent consultant in the areas of governance, planning and operations management for nonprofit human services agencies, long-term care programs and small businesses.

She has served in various leadership roles for local organizations, including Bethany House of Hospitality, Friends Aware of Violent Relationships, Habitat for Humanity of Fond du Lac County, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fond du Lac County, Free Spirit Riders, Creative Care Option of Fond du Lac County, Nazareth Heights Retirement Home and the Waupun Rotary Club.

The student speaker at the annual graduation ceremony is Rochlyn (Roxie) Smith, of Fond du Lac. Smith is the president of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) national honor society and is earning an associate degree with an emphasis in music.

A reception for graduates and their families will be held in the University Center Commons following the ceremony.

UW-Fond du Lac joined with UW Oshkosh and UW-Fox Valley in July 2018 as part of a UW System restructuring. UW Oshkosh Chancellor Andrew Leavitt will be conferring the degrees to UW-Fond du Lac campus graduates at the ceremony.
